Hi, I'm Valerie. I am a creative. I was born in Texas but grew up and spent most of my life in Australia. Some things I have enthusiasm for: type, neon signs, chasing waterfalls and a full-bodied shiraz. I am currently a graphic designer by weekday and a photographer whenever else.

I wanted to share this little ditty right here because she (the logo... It’s a she and we’re friends) has finally been unveiled to the world and I couldn’t be prouder. This brand means so much to me. When Elise reached out to me about working on a rebrand for her clean beauty line I quite literally leapt on it. It’s like a dream client/dream brief situation and to boot, it just feels good to design for something that is trying to make the world a better place, ya dig? Elise founded Honey & Vinegar to be a line of clean and non-toxic beauty products not because it’s trendy or because it’s so hot right now but because she saw a real need to fix a problem in the beauty industry, and because she saw that she could make it better. Honey & Vinegar comes well and truly from the heart, and was borne out of Elise’s own search for non-toxic beauty products after undergoing extensive treatment for long-term health issues. It’s for women everywhere who need and want to stop putting harmful ingredients in and on their bodies and I am here 👏 for 👏 it 👏 I had SO much fun designing a playful new identity for H&V and damned if I didn’t hear a little tinkling sparkle noise in my head every. single. time. I dropped those little sparkle guys onto the page 😂 If you like your makeup like your friendships: non-toxic and long-lasting, peep @honeyandvinegar_ over on their insta and go use those dollars where they count (they’re giving $1 from every item sold to some really awesome organizations)
Slowly, all of my belongings are beginning to match...
A post on all three of your Instagram accounts a day keeps the doctor away right? Here are some type exploration options from the early early early stages of a brand id project I am super stoked on. I l o v e what we landed on for the final product and I can’t wait to share when it’s ready for the public. Stay on the lookout 👀 and hop over to @goodsandfeels to see more design work in the meantime.
When you have a random color moment with a mall in San Diego...
This is one of my favorite pictures of myself not because you can see my face or anything but because of the way it makes me feel and the moment it takes me back to. This week I got to hang in the desert with some of the coolest girls who are making and doing, and it lit my creativity on fire 🔥 thanks Lauren and Allison for @heysista.co and also hey sis tacos, and to all the ladiez including @juliamaddensears who took this bomb photo that makes me feel like a million bucks.
Much pomp. Many circumstance.
